Hormone Balance
In this module we will talk about hormones in the postpartum period all the way through to menopause and how those changes can bring imbalance and unwanted symptoms.
We will address cortisol and the way it affects the metabolism and also discuss how to support the hormonal system through each season with nutrient rich foods, stress relief and gentle movement.

Here is where we get to the core of our health - the gut.
We will discuss the gut microbiome and its role in healthy digestion, the immune response, leaky gut and how to keep those little guys happy with a daily influx of pre, pro and postbiotics.
We will also touch on antibiotics and their detrimental effect on the gut eco-system and also get into the mind body connection through the vagus nerve.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Rebecca O’Dell
Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach
I am a strong believer that knowledge is power when it comes to our bodies and the way we care for them. I also like to take a gentle approach where we stop and listen to the body to hear what they are telling us - symptoms are messages from our bodies that are communicating that something is wrong, imbalanced or needed and it is important to tune in and learn how to support our physiological body where it needs support.
In this day and lets face it: this country, doctors have so many restrictions on them from time restraints with each patient to pharmaceutical quotas to fill, it is difficult for your physician to sit down with you and walk you through all of this. That is why I created O’Dell Wellness, to come alongside regular women like myself and teach a basic overview on our bodies and how to care for them. Not in spite of the medical doctors but rather in partnership with them.
This classroom is a place where we learn how to listen to our bodies, how to interpret it’s message and how we can respond to its warning signs - before the labs come back abnormal.
